America has had a rich history of pushing technologies forward; especially when it comes to the telephone. The first telephone was patented by Alexander Graham Bell in July of 1877. Combined with Thomas Edison’s invention of the carbon microphone, the house hold crank telephone was born. The telephone has evolved greatly though out the years transforming from the box phone, rotary dial phone, touch tone phone, and now the cellular phone. On April 3, 1973, Motorola placed the first cell phone call to AT&T’s Bell Lab.
Without the modern day telephone, the 911 system would not exist. 240 million calls are placed to 911 each year. It is estimated that 80% of those calls are made from wireless devices. Many people, especially the elderly, own a cellular phone solely for the ability to call 911 in an emergency.

So check back as Justifeyed discusses potential collaborations with Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, T-Mobil US, and Sprint Corporations.
