Woman Dies After North Minneapolis Shooting

June 2, 2017

A sunny spring day turned deadly at a north Minneapolis strip mall.

Police say a man shot and killed a woman at about 3:15 p.m. in a parking lot on West Broadway Avenue near Lyndale Avenue North. The argument inside of a business between the man and woman spilled outside, where the man shot the woman several times before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Family members say that the victim and the shooter were once in a relationship. This is the second deadly shooting in North Minneapolis in the past two days.

Justifeyed-

There are so many facets to this story where Justifeyed would have played a huge role in what could have been a very different outcome. Imagine if the victim had the Justifeyed app on her phone, she could have pushed the button and someone would have immediately seen what was happening to come to her aide. She could have pushed the Justifeyed button when the altercation started taking place, and someone could have been in the parking lot to apprehend the man, instead of her ending up being shot in that parking lot. Given that they were once in a relationship, there may have been some previous domestic violence that could have been caught with Justifeyed. This situation didn't have to happen the way it did, and with Justifeyed it would have been completely different.
