From 1968 to 1992 the Packers only made it to the playoffs twice. Even with former quarterback Bart Starr as head coach, the Packers were unable to regain their former glory until later in time. The 911 dispatch concept has been around for over 50 years, while the Green Bay Packers have been playing as a team for over 60 plus years. In over 98% of locations in the United States and Canada, dialing "9-1-1" from any telephone will link the caller to an emergency dispatch office. In today’s message we will be talking a little bit about the history of the 9-1-1 system, the Green Bay Packers and how Justifeyed believes that with a little bit of help from the Green Bay Packer Organization we could possibly help improve the way we contact and communicate with dispatch.
Justifeyed wants you to imagine that someone buys you front row seats to the Packer game but they tell you to blindfold yourself the whole game. You can't take the blindfold off until you get to the parking lot. Would you still go to that game and be able to enjoy yourself ? Most of your answers will be no. Because most of us would rather see the game instead of just hearing the game. This is something that Justifeyed is currently trying to change within the 9-1-1 system, currently dispatch can only hear the problem but think if dispatch could both hear and see the problem.
Millions of people think that if they call 9-1-1 in an emergency situation even if they don't say anything, that 9-1-1 dispatch will be able to know exactly where you are at. That's usually not the case. Although the capacity has more than doubled since Lambeau Field was opened, demand for tickets remains high. The Packers have sold out every game since 1960, and at least 115,000 names are on the waiting list (with a reported average wait time of 30 years). This fact is shocking but true.
The Green Bay Packers have won many Super Bowls and have beat many teams for more than 60 years and that's all due to the line of communication both on and off the field. These articles above shows you how the line of communication is off and is not as efficient as it could be.
Federal Communications Commission stated that " You must tell the emergency operator the location of the emergency right away. " The reason we are told to do this is because currently dispatch is not capable of pinpointing your exact location, but if Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook are able to figure out where you are and where your friends and followers are at, wouldn't you think that our dispatch system would be able to do that as well. Justifeyed has made many efforts to make people aware all over the Midwest and parts of the East Coast of what this upgraded technology could do for us as a community. We need the help of not only the public, but the government and emergency services and other big organizations and companies as well. Help us by donating or investing funds to get this app in your counties and schools. Once our app is up and running some of the funds start going right back into your communities.
