In a matter of a year, 1,512 police officers died in the line of duty; 90 firefighters died on duty, and 65 EMS members died while on duty. These are the individuals who sacrifice their time to give you back yours, sacrifice their family to get you safely back to yours, and sacrifice their life to save yours. If you had to walk into your job every day intentionally putting your life on the line, could you do it?
Nationwide emergency personnel like these listed below, put on a uniform that can put their life at risk, but they wear it with honor and pride. "When a police officer is killed, it's not an agency that loses an officer, it's an entire nation."
Just a few of these brave souls.
Trooper Pilot Berke M.M. Bates, 40 Quinton, VA
Lt. H. Jay Cullen, 45 Midlothian VA
Lt. Aaron Allen, 38 Inidanapolis IN
James Lavoy, 50, Oak Lawn Il.
Miguel Moreno, 32, San Antonio TX
Emergency personnel put their lives at risk everyday in the line of duty. When a police officer dies, we feel a collective sense of bravery and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
